  1. Kna,Knaithomman all is a myth.No truth. A story written by Chashikkadan with the blessing of Bishop Makkil. It is written based on the history of yemeni jews migrated at kodungallor with 72 families in the 16th century. Those who study history properly knows it well. Priest are masters of fabricating myths as facts. I am not a priest, only a person interested in studying history. My dear fellowship president you are rejecting your brothers who are married with somebody suitable to them from outside or inside because of this false tradition.I keep fellowship with all human irrespective of caste or religion.

Thekkumbhagor only had history of 2-3 centuries. They are either Indians or decedents of migrated yemeni black jews.Only fact is that Before 1911, in thekkumbhagar some families had a practice of "bandhathil kettu" and some families don't have that practice If you can prove me wrong by conducting research of our history by neutral scholars I will agree with what you said.I don't have any objection with my relatives and friends in knanaya who are traditional believers. I have read our historians writings, good fiction.I earn my living from my own efforts, not got anything from Samudayam,When I was a young man I also donated money for this Samudayam, When I came to know that this is all the trick and traps I wisely stay away from it.
One more question Who is your enemy? Who is your friend and relative?

    1. Nobody is rejecting our exogamous brothers.

It is only the Community that rejects them. Because it is a question of the existence of the Community it cannot do differently. In our families, there is no problem with our brothers opting exogamy.

The problem arises only when the very few KANAs try to infiltrate into the Community again. Knanaya is not a religion, but a community.

It is better for the KANAs to leave alone those who believe in the Community and in its traditions. If they dont disturb them by asking for membership, the problem will be over.

So, it is those small number of KANAs who are creating the problems.

    2. who cares about the community? I don't think any KANA wants to be a part of the community. But it is different in the church. Church is universal and no one can remove a person from the church on the basis of a catholic marriage. Rome confirmed that with its Rescript in 1986.

    3. Unlike other parishes the Knanaya parish is not universal. It is only for the members of the knanaya community. Knanaya parish, unlike the others, is a community of the knanaya faithful only.

    4. That what you think. But it is not true and if the Kottayam dioces reports to Rome, then what you said above is bullshit.

    5. If the knanaya parishes are not solely for the members of that Community, could you please tell, what is the difference between a usual Syro-Malabar parish and a knanaya parish?!!

    6. Psalms 24,3-6

Who shall ascend the hill of the Lord?
And who shall stand in his holy place?
Those who have clean hands and pure hearts,
who do not lift up their souls to what is false,
      and do not swear deceitfully.
They will receive blessing from the Lord,
and vindication from the God of their salvation.
Such is the company of those who seek him,
who seek the face of the God of Jacob.

    7. Knanya parishes are for the knanites. Not exactly for the members of the community. Community membership has a definition ie: "members are those who are born of knanaya parents who follow knanaya tradions inculding wedding....etc". However, knanya church is for those who are born of knanaya parents irrespective of their marital status.

      Delete
    8. If knanya church is for all those who are born of knanaya parents, irrespective of their marital status,
why there are no 'KANA's in any of the knanaya parishes in the Kottayam Diocese?! Do you think they voluntarily vacate those parishes and join that of the spouse?! Why Rome allowed that?
Why should they need any special parish? What specialty they have?

    9. Good question! Also people who keep showing the 1986 rescript written by an administrative cardinal and remind us to accept and obey Rome have no problem in not accepting the Kottayam dioceses formation and Knanaya definition laied down by a POPE 100 years ago.
These stupids want to say that the POPE's instructions were wrong but the Mussa's Rescript is true?

  2. What is said about 'enemies of knanaya' is very correct. The blogger has pin-pointed them.
With the Head of Knanaya, the priests too seems to have joined, or are keeping mum. So they too fall, in effect, in the same category of the 'enemies', as long as they don't speak out their real views! I don't think that they are actually in favor of the 'Moolakkat formula'.
The question "Unda chorinu nanni vende?" is very pertinent to be asked to the knanaya vicars who are duty bound to protect the interests of knanaya.

    1. What right the vicars of knanaya parishes in India have, to enjoy the comforts in the name of the Community, when they are SILENT about the KANA membership (Moolakattu formula) which will eventually terminate the community?!! How the non-members of the Community could be members in the knanaya parishes anywhere in the world?!

    2. WHOSE RESPONSIBILITY?!!!

'KANAs' who brake the basic law of 'ENDOGAMY IN KNANAYA' are being retained as members in the knanaya parishes, outside the jurisdiction of Kottayam Diocese.

Those in charge of the knanaya Diocese and of such parishes anywhere in the world, have the additional and primary RESPONSIBILITY of safe-guarding the basic interests and laws of the Community.

In spite of this responsibility, the knanaya VICARS anywhere, are not making any objection to the membership there of the exogamous! Instead, they seem to support it, which is evident from their negligent silence. The Head of the Diocese has even gone to the extent of DECLARING in his Chicago speech, that it is the RIGHT of the exogamous to continue their membership in the knanaya parishes!

So, the prime RESPONSIBILITY of convincing the knanaya community WHY THEY DO NOT OBJECT to this membership against the knanaya traditions and law VESTS WITH, nobody else other than, those who are IN CHARGE OF the Knanaya PARISHES and the DIOCESE.

    3. The reason why they do not object to KANA membership is crystal clear. What they want is not knanaya but its name to make money.
They want churches in USA, UK etc. so that the priests can be appointed there and collect money without any accountability. The Bishop too can visit the churches and collect from the vicars to retain them in those rich positions.
What if the knanaya is extinct, as they don't have children?!
      .
For having churches under their control as a source of money, if KANAs are to be retained in the parishes, they have no problem.
What they want is not knanaya but only that 'name' to the parishes whether it is actually knanaya or mixed!
      This is their double standards!

  3. knanaya people could do genetical test and it will prove the antiquity and purity of blood. It is a mix of assiriyan, jewish, dravidian and brahmin J2,H,R, genes are found. Go for it. At least those who are in USA UK etc and keep gene chart from the samples. It is so simple. All arguments will be over. This is modern world. No need of traditional tribal myths.

  4. Actually knanaya people were not like this. It is another version of kerala party politics now. This shows they are not from knana but kerelana.

  5. There is good news now.

It is a fact that some of our ancestors in the past might have committed adultery with non-knanayas and given birth to children who are not pure knanaya. The children who were born of such knanaya-nonknanaya affairs have again given birth to not-so-pure knanaya children and all those children and their progeny are living in our community as pure knanayas. (This does not affect the adultery between knanaya men and knanaya women or vice versa.) It is necessary to filter out from our community these impure knanayas who have impaired knanaya genes.

Fortunately modern technology has made it possible to identify such people through DNA analysis.

This writer and some knanaya friends have joined hands to create a bank of pure knanaya gene using unassailable knanaya donators and from now on knanaya parents and prospective brides and bridegrooms can check whether the other party in an intended marriage is pure knanaya by comparing their genes with the knanaya gene bank which will be preserved.

We are going to approach the immediate families of Mar Makil, Mar Choolaparampil and Mar Tharayil to give their body tissue specimens. Mar Kunnassery, Mar Moolakkattu and Mar Pandarassery will also be requested to give their body tissues. A gene bank will be created using their body tissues. Anyone who wants to test and get a certificate of their knanaya genuiness will be able to get an appropriate certificate. Of course, there will be a small administrative fees for this.

The progress of this endeavour will be posted on this blog from time to time.

    1. You say "Some of our ancestors in the past might have committed adultery with non-knanayas and given birth to children who are not pure knanaya. The children who were born of such knanaya-nonknanaya affairs have again given birth to not-so-pure knanaya children and all those children and their progeny are living in our community as pure knanayas".

So, you want to prove that knanaya might have become impure long back, may be centuries ago! Then how could you say that the Bishops are pure in knanaya blood?! If they are not, what is the point in comparing the genes of knanites with theirs?!

First, you have to collect some genes and ascertain that they are pure knanaya genes. Then the genes of the present knanites should be compared with those pure genes only, to ascertain the purity of the knanites compared. Have you got a sample of a pure knanaya?! According to your own theory, there cannot be a pure knanaya now, to collect any sample!!

Comparison should be with the genes of Kinai-thoma and the members of the team accompanied him. So, a comparison is possible only if you have preserved samples from them.

Therefore, before starting the gene-purity test, you have to collect samples of the Kinai-thoma and his team. So it better not to start such an attempt till you collect them. Best of Luck.
