My family's perspective on Orlando Convention

Based on many unfortunate incidents happened in the Dallas convention, my wife was very concerned about going to convention with two teenage and one adolescent daughters. But she is well relieved and happy that we attended this convention. In this (Orlando) convention, KCCNA formulated so many programs, with certain regulations, for the youth and children. They were well coordinated by Mohan Kaduthodiyil and Vipin Chalungal. Over six hundred youth participated in the convention without any incidents. This convention generated so much interest among the youth and it served as a forum for them to meet with other youths.

There were many entertaining and enriching programs: spiritual, cultural, beauty pageant, seminars, and a well participated symposium. Entertainment programs for adults and children, by outside artists, were added attraction for the convention. The food was superb and well organised.

In spite of many challenges and negative publicity, this convention was well attended. Youth participation was the hallmark of the Orlando Convention.

My sincere thanks to KCCNA executives and Tampa convention committee for making this an enriching experience with my fellow Knanaites.

KCCNA executives and Bishops come and go. But as his Eminence Mar Sevarios reminded us,  it is up to us to promote our centuries old heritage and culture.
