Dear IKCC officials,
Please take some initiative to call general bodies in every missions in Tri-state area to pass the following or a similar resolution to be submitted to Chicago diocese, Kottayam Archdiocese and also to Rome
Universal Diocese for Indian Knanaya Catholics
Petition against membership disparities among Knanaya missions and or parishes worldwide
"We, Indian Knanaya Catholics are descendants of a group of Jewish Christians migrated from Syria to Kodungallore (Kerala India) in AD 345. We are endogamous in nature. Those who break this Knanaya tradition will no longer be a member of Knanaya missions, parishes or community. This fact has accepted and approved by Rome by allotting us Kottayam diocese for Knanites in 1911. Catholicism is universal and therefore we Indian Knanaya Catholics, regardless where in the world/under which Catholic diocese we reside shall be given the same privileges.”
"We Indian Knanaya Catholics are endogamous and we refuse to be a part of any dioceses who disagrees with our beliefs, customs and traditions.”
Sincerely,
Abraham Puthiyidathusseril
