CONCLUSIONS FROM THE KCCNA SYMPOSIUM
All decision making, affecting community members, must be transparent and through honest consultation with community members through associations general body and/or pothuyogams
Establish well defined roles for associations and missions/parishes due to the unique circumstances outside the jurisdiction of our diocese in Kottayam
Never ever there be conflicting and competing programs between associations and missions
Adapt and Adopt practices by both associations and missions/that will attract our young generation who are growing up in a different culture than we are used to – we need to go to the “Chicken and Rice Place” (if required we must be open to Latin Rite Masses to attract the youth above 15 years of age who constitute majority of our youth in North America) - No choice
We need to complete the signature campaign to modify the rescript – we must make it loud and clear that the community will not accept the rescript, therefore it must be revoked.
We should not accept division as a solution, rather single out those who cause division whoever they are – They have no place in our community because they do not know the corner stone of our community “Oruma”
RESOLUTIONS UNANIMOUSLY ADOPTED BY CONVENTION 2012
We are recommitting to the centuries old traditions that Knanites are those who are born to both Knanaya Parents and if they are married their spouses also must be born of both Knanaya Parents.
We will not accept the 1986 Rescript from Rome, therefore it must be revoked
Moolakkattu Formula eduthu doore kalayuka. Ennittu puthiya Orlando formula sweekarikkuka. Let KCCNA ordain the new bishop of Knanaya and let KCCNA president be the knanaya pope.
