തെക്കുംഭാഗ സമുദായത്തിന്റെ പരമ്പരാഗതമായ വംശീയ നിലപാടിനെതിരെ സമുദായ ശത്രുക്കളുടെ പണിയാളായി പ്രവര്ത്തിച്ചു വരികയായിരുന്നു ആര്ച്ച് ബിഷപ്പ് മാര്‍ മാത്യു മൂലക്കാട്ട്. സമുദായത്തില്‍ നിന്നും ശക്തമായ എതിര്പ്പുണ്ടായിട്ടും തന്റെ നിലപാടില്‍ അയവില്ലാതെ ഉറച്ചുനിന്ന ബിഷപ്പിനെ പിന്തിരിപ്പിക്കാനെന്ന ഉദ്ദേശത്തോടെയാണ് ക്‌നാനായമക്കള്‍ എപ്രില്‍ ഒന്നിന് ചൈതന്യയില്‍ ഒത്തുകൂടിയത്. പിതാവിനെ അതിലേയ്ക്ക് ക്ഷണിക്കണമെന്ന ഉദ്ദേശമേ ആര്ക്കും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല. യോഗദിവസത്തിന് വളരെ മുന്മ്പു തന്നെ പിതാവിനെ ക്ഷണിക്കണമെന്ന നിര്ദ്ദേശം വികാരി ജനറാളിന്റെ ഫോണില്നി ന്നും സംഘാടകര്ക്കു വന്നു; അവര്‍ അനങ്ങിയില്ല. തുടര്ന്ന് 29-ന് ചേര്ന്ന പാസ്റ്ററല്‍, പ്രിസ്ബിറ്ററല്‍ കൗണ്സിലുകളുടെ സംയുക്ത യോഗത്തില്വെവച്ച് പിതാവിന്റെ സാന്നിദ്ധ്യത്തില്‍ വികാരി ജനറാള്‍ മൈക്കിലൂടെ വീണ്ടും അഭ്യര്ത്ഥിച്ചതു പ്രകാരം 30-ാം തീയതി സമുദായക്കാര്‍ യോഗം ചേര്ന്ന് പിതാവിനെ ക്ഷണിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.
പിതാവ് യോഗത്തിനു വന്നാല്‍ അനിഷ്ടകരമായ സംഭവങ്ങള്‍ അരേങ്ങറാന്‍ സാദ്ധ്യത ഉണ്ടെന്നു മനസിലാക്കിയതിനാലാണ് സംഘാടകര്‍ ക്ഷണിക്കാതിരുന്നത്. ഈ വിവരം പല വൈദീകരോടും പറഞ്ഞിരുന്നു; പിതാവ് വരട്ടെ ജനവികാരം നേരില്‍ കാണട്ടെ എന്ന നിലപാടിലായിരുന്നു അവരും.
പതിനഞ്ചോളം അല്മായപ്രമുഖര്‍ പിതാവിന്റെ നിലപാടിനെതിരെ സംസാരിച്ചതിനു ശേഷവും ജനവികാരം മനസിലാക്കാതെ, നിലപാടില്‍ മാറ്റം വരുത്താതെ ഏകാധിപത്യസ്വരത്തില്‍ അഹങ്കാരത്തിന്റെ ഭാഷയില്‍ സംസാരിച്ചതാണ് പ്രശ്‌നം വഷളാക്കിയത്. “എതിര്‍ അഭിപ്രായം ഉള്ളവര്‍ വീട്ടില്പോയി ശാന്തമായി ചിന്തിക്കു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞാണ് പിതാവ് മറുപടി പ്രസംഗം ആരംഭിച്ചത്. “എന്റെ അഭിപ്രായത്തിന് എതിരുള്ളവര്‍ ഇറങ്ങിപോടാ” എന്നാണല്ലോ ഈ പറഞ്ഞതിനര്ത്ഥം.
ക്‌നാനായ മാതാപിതാക്കളില്‍ നിന്നു ജനിക്കുകയും ജീവിതപങ്കാളി ആ വിഭാഗത്തില്‍ പെട്ട ആളും ആയിരിക്കണം എന്ന നിര്വ്വ ചനത്തെ പിതാവ് വ്യാഖ്യാനിച്ചത് ഒരു ചോദ്യരൂപത്തിലാണ്. വിവാഹം വഴി ഒരാളെ ക്‌നാനായക്കാരനാക്കാനാകുമോ എന്നായിരുന്നു ആ ചോദ്യം. ആരും ചിന്തിക്കാത്ത, ഇതുപോലുള്ള ചോദ്യങ്ങളും ആളുകളെ ചൊടുപ്പിച്ചു. ഗത്യന്തരം ഇല്ലാതെ മാര്‍ മൂലക്കാട്ടിലിന് രണ്ടു തവണ പ്രസംഗം പൂര്ത്തിയാക്കാനാകാതെ പിന്മാറേണ്ടിവന്നു.
അദ്ദേഹം ഒരിക്കലും ഒരു നേതാവല്ല എന്നു തെളിയുകയായിരുന്നു സമുദായ വിഷയത്തില്‍ പ്രകോപിതരായി നില്ക്കുന്ന ഒരു വലിയ ജനവിഭാഗത്തെ ശാന്തരാക്കുവാനുള്ള ഒരു ഫോര്മുലയും അറിയാത്ത ഒരു മെത്രാന്‍. സമുദായം അണിയിച്ച കവചകുണ്ഡലങ്ങള്‍ ഇളകിതെറിച്ച ഈ സമ്മേളനം മാര്‍ മൂലക്കാട്ടിനെ ഒരുവഴിത്തിരിവില്‍ എത്തിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
സ്വന്തം ഫോര്മുലയിലൂടെ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് ഇനി നീങ്ങാനാവില്ല; സമുദായം അത് അംഗീകരിക്കുക ഇല്ല എന്ന് പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചുകഴിഞ്ഞു. സ്വകാര്യ വികാരങ്ങളോടും സ്വന്തം വിശപ്പിനോടും മല്ലടിച്ച് വിശുദ്ധിനേടുന്ന ഒരു സാധാരണ സന്യാസി മാത്രമാണെന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം തന്നെ തെളിയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. ആ മാര്ഗ്ഗ്ത്തിലേയ്ക്ക് പോവുകമാത്രമാണ് അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് മുന്നിലുള്ള ഏകവഴി.

ReplyDeleteThe Knanaya Parish Membership dispute here was finally finding a resolution. The 'Moolakat Formula' was accepted by the KCCNA leadership and by the Knanaya Priests in USA. The public announcement of that decision was greeted with thunderous applause by the Knanaya community in Chicago including all the prominent past and present leaders of the KCS/Chicago.
But things have taken a wrong turn now. It should be remembered that, those so called leaders of the Knanaya Catholic Congress have no right to interfere in the lives of ourselves and our children. Check with our brothers from Uzhavoor and its surroundings. Many of them are victims of a fraud committed by the present KCC President.
KCCNA is the authorised and the right organization competent to decide about issues concerning Knanites in USA. Its President and other leaders are exceptionally qualified and wise enough to deal with such matters.
You are accusing the KCC without knowing the facts. KCCNA never approved the Moolakat formula because Mar Moolakat has no authority over North American Knas. That is why KCCNA sent the ball to VG's court. The public announcement of Chicago by Moolakat is a staged show by V.G. That is why you guys applauded. Why did Mar Moolakat not announce in New YORK or other place in USA? He will be booed.
