Some time ago, I read an interesting article about the Arrival of Bishop of Cana (Knai Thomman) 8-9 century AD in a blog called 'Nasrani'. It seems to be a scholarly article written based on evidence and testimonials.
Though I have read the Chazhikadans and Kollaparambans Knanya history, with all respects to them, sorry to say it fails in coinciding with historical facts. Such a migration in the 4th century by sea route (72 families) in those era was not possible also Cherra kingdom was not existing in Kerala (Interrugnum period AD 300-800) at that time. In that sense the belief St. Thomas came to Kerala in first century is also likely to be myth.
