Suggestion for an International Knanaya Club

ഇന്ന് American Kna Email Group സര്‍ക്കുലേറ്റ് ചെയ്ത ഇമെയിലുളുകളില്‍ ഒന്ന് Mathew Thomas Pushpamangalam എന്നയാളുടെ ഒരു നിര്‍ദ്ദേശമായിരുന്നു.

Rotary Club, Lions Club എന്നീ ക്ലബുകളുടെ രീതിയില്‍ ക്നാനയകാര്‍ക്ക് മാത്രമായുള്ള ഒരു ഇന്റര്‍നാഷണല്‍ ക്ലബ്‌ എന്ന ആശയമാണ് അദ്ദേഹം മുന്നോട്ട് വച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്. ഇത് നല്ല നിര്‍ദ്ദേശമായി തോന്നിയതിനാല്‍ ഇവിടെ പോസ്റ്റ്‌ ചെയ്യുന്നു.

ഈ വിഷയത്തില്‍ ഗൌരവസ്വഭാവമുള്ള അഭിപ്രായങ്ങള്‍ ക്ഷണിച്ചു കൊള്ളുന്നു. വിലകുറഞ്ഞതും, പരിഹസിച്ചുകൊണ്ടുള്ളതുമായ കമന്റുകള്‍ പ്രസധീകരിക്കുന്നതല്ല.

The recent trends in the internet grapevine prove beyond doubt that it is time for all factions of the Knanaya Community to join together.  Now the Knanaya Community is spread over as Jacobites, Catholics, Pentecostals, Jehovah’s Witnesses, etc.   We are now divided and being ruled.

It is time we formed some kind of association modelled after Rotary Club or Lion’s Club.  The membership should be restricted to ordinary Knanaya persons only, regardless of whichever religious community they belong to.  Bishops and priests must be excluded.  We can have such clubs wherever there is a large Knanaya population, both in India and abroad.  We can even have our own Club buildings, and engage in helping weaker members of our community.

The religious hierarchy, who wants to pollute the Knanaya Community can be effectively warded off by formation of such a Knanaya International Club.

Our youngsters can mingle at functions of this Club and would help them in knowing each other, and even in finding Knanaya life partners.

On the whole this Club would assure the longevity of the Knanaya Community.
