KCASF (Miami) rejects watered-down missions and Moolakatt Formula

Dear Knanaya members,

This is to inform that the general body meeting of KCASF held on may 19th 2012 passed the following motions to support KCCNA and KCC to protect the age old traditions of the Knanaya community including the practice of endogamy .

KCASF strongly disagree with the current Knanaya region membership criteria proposed by His Grace Arch Bishop  Mathew Moolakatt in LA on 26th February 2012.

KCASF will only support churches and missions that are truly endogenous and will cease all financial support for the Syro-Malabar Knanaya Catholic Mission of South Florida's activities until the mission have the same endogamous membership criteria as in Kottayam Arch Diocese .

KCASF'S building fund to be used only for the purchase of a community center that is to be fully owned by KCASF.

KCASF support KCCNA's and KCC's stand on endogamous matters and urge all Knanaya Catholics across the globe to rally behind their initiatives.

We also would like to inform you that a few of the Parish Council members and Koodarayogam presidents have submitted their resignation to protest the "Moolakatt Formula for Mission Membership "and in support of the KCCNA and KCC initiatives.

Rogi Kaniyamparambil
President
KCASF (Miami)
