Knanaya Catholic Congress of Central Florida Decision

Dear Knanaya Sisters and Brothers of the Universe,

The Knanaya Catholic Congress of Central Florida had an official meeting today on January 6, 2013 at 4 PM in KCCCF Community Center to discuss the recent pastoral letter sent out by H.E Mar Angadiath. Many members expressed their genuine concerns and frustrations over the misleading steps taken by our own few religious hierarchies and came up with the following resolution.

The Executive and National Council members along with Knanaya Catholic families present were disappointed on the recent directive from H.E. Mar Jacob Angadiath and we unanimously reject his directives regarding the membership within the Knanaya Parishes of St. Thomas Syro Malabar Diocese of Chicago.

“Does not make any allowance for endogamy to play a role in defining the membership of faithful in any mission or parish established by the Eparchy”

**SO NO PARISH/MISSION IS STRICTLY ENDOGAMOUS** - Mar Angadiath

We all believe that the Endogamy is our cornerstone of existence. We will fight back vigilantly to safeguard our 18 century old tradition. We were promised endogamous parish and we demand the same. All the Knanaya families present at the meeting will withdraw all and any financial support towards the Sacred Heart Knanaya Catholic Church until the bishop of St. Thomas Syro Malabar Diocese of Chicago declares the above church as strictly endogamous Parish.

The meeting have also instructed to request the Sacred Heart Catholic Parish Vicar to add the membership issue (Recent letter from Mar Angadiath) to the agenda to the Pothuyogam to be conducted on February 3, 2013.

KCCCF Executive and  Knanaya Families.
