Resolution Passed by Knanaya Catholic Congress of Southern California

Dear Knanaya Community Members,

Resolution 2013.1 on Endogamy

Endogamy is the cornerstone of Knanaya ancestry.  Therefore Knanaya Catholic Congress of Southern California Executive Committee, on behalf of the Knanaya Catholic Congress of Southern California, totally and unanimously rejects the membership criteria that Mar Jacob Angadiath and Mar Mathew Moolakkatt want to impose upon the Knanaya Community of North America.

We strongly believe it is our right and responsibility to keep our centuries old identity intact and any attempt to tamper with it will not be tolerated.  We are determined to safeguard our traditions as they have been for the last seventeen hundred years.  Therefore we strongly support KCCNA and fully endorse all the initiatives that the KCCNA leadership takes to safeguard the interests of our community.
